Bonsai Tree

A beautiful plant to be cherished, but be warned Bonsai's are only for the very green fingered. Bonsai is an ancient cultivation technique created by the Japanese, and is therefore a way of growing a plant rather than a species itself. We receive stock of a mixture of common Bonsai trees aged approximately 5 years so you may not receive the same plant as this photograph.

Plant care: Your bonsai will not survive neglect so treat it with care. It be thirsty during the spring and summer months and your should be careful not to let the soil completely dry. During the winter months you can water less frequently but again dont let the plant become parched. At the beginning of the growing season you should re-pot your bonsai and prune the root base when you do this. You should also prune the new shoots as they grow in order to maintain the shape of the plant. You bonsai will enjoy being kept indoors away from central heating and  with bright indirect light.
