Oxalis Triangularis owes its name to it’s eye catching deep purple triangle shaped leaves. These lovely leaves will open during the day and close by night. Although the robustly coloured leaves are the stars of the show, the plant also produces sweet pink trumpet-shaped flowers in spring. These will last for several weeks.
Plant care instructions and tips: To keep your Oxalis plant healthy, place somewhere with bright light and water when the top inch of soil dries out. It likes well-drained potting mix and moderate humidity. Fertilize every two to three weeks and keep indoor temperature between 60°F to 75°F.
Oxalis Triangularis can also work all year round outdoors as an outdoor ground cover in mild climates. If your conditions are too cold in winter, you can dig the bulbs and store until spring’s warm temperatures arrive again. Plants average around 12 inches tall at maturity.
