Workshop & Event Booking Policies
Before booking with us, please have a read through the following booking policies for private workshops, group workshops and events with Botanique Workshop.
If you book one of our private workshops, e.g. for a hen party or a corporate team building, please understand the following:
Deposit
- A deposit will be taken in order to book a workshop with us. The exact deposit to be paid depends on the type of workshop, whether this workshop takes place in our studio space or at your offices/venue, and whether it is being hosted during peak times.
- Once the deposit has been paid, we can officially book you in and hold your spot. Please remember that before any deposit has been paid, other people can still book this slot.
- Deposits are always non refundable.
Location
- Our Exmouth Market studio is located on the first floor and there is no ramp or lift available for those unable to climb the flights of stairs.
- If we are hosting a workshop at your offices or venue, it is your responsibility that the space is suitable for this. Workshops, especially wreath workshops, can get a little messy! Buckets with flower stems and foliage will be spread across the floor around the workshop table, so some water might get spilled.
- If we are hosting a workshop at your offices or venue, it is your responsibility to provide a table big enough for the amount of people joining. We generally recommend a space of 50cm x 50cm per person.
- It's also your responsibility to ensure that the space is suitable for a workshop. Bouquet Making and wreath workshops are quite hands-on and we'll be working with fresh materials such as moss and fresh flower stems, so things can get a little messy!
- Please note that we cannot held responsible for any damage done by workshop attendees, we expect from you to provide a space that is suitable for these workshops.
Timing
-
Please make sure you arrive by the start time of your workshop. A florist will meet you outside of our shop. We will then take you to your workshop place, our studio based in the church opposite our Exmouth Market shop.
-
Your booking is for a limited time (1.5 to 2,5 hours, depending on the type of workshop) as specified when booking. As we often have other bookings or work to do in our shop, it is not possible to stay in the studio after the specified time slot of your booking.
Information we need from you
- We'll ask you to confirm the final number of attendees one week (or two weeks in case of wreath workshops) before the workshop.
- Once we know the group size, we will send over the invoice for the remaining balance to be paid (total amount minus the deposit), which needs to be paid within 3 days or as specified on the invoice. If attendees in your group drop out after this, we cannot issue any refunds. This is because we will order materials based on the amount of people you've given us, which cannot always be re-used.
Cancellations
- If you are unable to attend your workshop, please let us know as soon as possible. In case of hen parties and workshop hosted outside of the peak Christmas season, please let us know at least 7 days in advance. In this case we might be able to find another time that works for us both and move you to another slot for no extra cost. In the case of cancellation requests made after this time period of 7 days, we will not be able to re-schedule or issue a refund for the balance yet paid.
- In the case of wreath workshops or workshop taking place during our peak Christmas season, we will ask you to confirm the final number of attendees 14 days before the workshop. Once the final invoice has been sent and the balance has been paid, we aren't able to issue any refunds in the case of people dropping out or cancelling, as we will have pre-ordered materials based on the numbers you've given us. In case you would like to reschedule your workshop to a different date, please let us know asap. If this is requested later than 14 days before the workshop, we will charge you a £100 rescheduling fee.
- Please understand that deposits are non-refundable. The reason we need to take a deposit is to hold your spot and for us to organise our rota around this.
- If we need to cancel your event due to Government COVID-19 guidelines changing then we will reschedule your booking to a future date. If you decide to cancel your booking instead of rescheduling, we won't be able to refund you your deposit.

-

Cancellations
- If you cannot make it to a class that you have booked a place for, please let us know ASAP. If you let us know at least 14 days before the start of the class, then we might be able to move you into another class that we have scheduled at no extra cost, or keep a credit for the full amount of the class to be redeemed at a later date. After this, we cannot issue any refunds.
- If a class is cancelled by us then we will do our up-most to get in contact with you and make you aware of this. We will re-schedule the class for a later date which we will hold a place for you on, if you are unable to attend the class scheduled for a later date then we will refund you for your ticket.
