Meet Tugba ... A lover of Pinto, Poppies and Banjos

Meet Tugba, another beloved member of the Botanique team with a few surprises up her (self-sewn) sleeve. When she's not at the shop, you'll find her and her Italian greyhound Pinto somewhere in nature enjoying the changes of the seasons.

Q: What’s your favourite way to spend a day off in London?

Spending the day with my 2 year old Italian greyhound, Pinto. Usually somewhere in nature, away from crowds - Hackney Marshes is his favourite!

Q: If you could only have one flower or plant in your home forever, what would it be - and why?

How to choose just one!? Hmm, it would have to be an Icelandic poppy, because they both beautiful and alien in equal measure.

Q: What’s a small joy or ritual that brightens your everyday?

Walking Pinto in my local park - I love to notice all of the tiny seasonal changes that happen every day.

Q: What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?

I sew most of my own clothes and also play the banjo.

Q: Do you have a favourite maker or product in the Botanique shop right now?

I love ALL of Field Days scents!

Q: What’s one thing you’ve learned from working at Botanique that you’ll carry with you?

The ability to wear lots (and lots) of hats.

Q:You’re in charge of the playlist in the shop - what’s your go-to song or artist?

Oh the pressure! Probably something quite chill - I'm currently enjoying lots of 70's soul.
